Hey rtil, I've been really into your work since I first saw your videos on YouTube. Lately I've enjoyed looking through the posts of your sketchbook. I was wondering how many sketchbooks have you gone through and how long did it use to take you to fill a page?
i have no idea how many i have gone through, but i try to fill up each page with as many sketches as possible, or maybe just 1 or 2 more detailed ones. how long does it take? i really have no idea, i do not keep track of these things.
Ah thanks man. I've been working on the human anatomy and realized i would be working on some stuff longer then i expected. I was just asking since a large majority of your sketches consisted of the human form. If you don't mind, what made you focus/develop that style for female characters? I notice you once in awhile put some emphasis on the hips and a part of the waist if their sitting or positioned in a way that indicates a bend in the abdominal.
it's because a couple years ago someone pointed out to me that i did not draw hips on girls and so i became aware of it. so i started accentuating them but i think i overdid it. i think i've found a balance now.
I enjoyed the emphasis you put on the hips, it showed a unique style in your work. Its good that you were able to change your style over time, which shows you've gained more experience.
